Squeeeeee baby album design!!!!!!

A couple years ago, Beth Carter asked me to design an album for Baby A. She is such an amazing talent and he was such a precious baby...so my job was super easy! Then a couple weeks ago I was asked to design his little baby brother's album, baby C!!! Beth takes beautiful pictures and this family is gorgeous! I had so much fun designing this album and I hope the family loves it!

BIG Announcement

So I've been sitting on this news since January 1st because honestly, it was just too good to be true!! It's been long enough...time to make it the announcement...

On January 1st I got an offer from J Messer Photography to be her assistant/second shooter!!! This is EXACTLY what I wanted to do with my photography and I'm so unbelievably excited to be working with someone so talented!!!

My first wedding with her is March 12th!!! I'm so excited and can't wait to kick off the wedding season!!

Life Lately

No shoots lately and ~~I've been too lazy~~ it's been too cold to do anything 'cool' or 'creative' with my girls...but here are some fun shots of life around here lately.

So I walk into my kitchen the other day and this is how my 2.5 year old had left Minnie. Later she told me that she had fixed Minnie a cookie and some chocolate milk. I love her :o)

Yesterday my baby woke up from her nap crying. My oldest got to her room before I did and was able to settle her little sister down. Then I notice they're being awfully quiet...too quiet When I got up to her room, my oldest had been putting all the baby toys in the crib!

She was proud of her 'baby whisper' abilities. :o)

Heather & Jeremy | Family Session

Heather and Jeremy have been good friends of ours since 2005. They have captured our family's most treasured moments...our engagement, our wedding, my pregnancy, pictures of my girls, family pictures, Christmas pictures, birthday party pictures, etc. Almost every picture hanging in our home is one they have taken for us.

Being photographers, they're rarely on the 'subject' side of the camera and found themselves without a current picture of their precious family. When they came to me to take some family pictures of them, I was so touched and so honored. I hope they treasure these pictures as much as I treasure all the beautiful photos they've given us.

Cheryl and I used to work together several years ago and have stayed in touch over the years even though we no longer work at our old company. A few months ago I asked around for volunteers to get back into their wedding dress and let me take pictures of them. Cheryl contacted me that day! She had been looking for an excuse to wear her dress again...and as you can see, she's still a beautiful bride!!

We had so much fun catching up that day. The weather could not have been more perfect and I could not have asked for a more beautiful 'bride'!! Here are a few of my favorite pictures from our shoot:

Leah & Aaron's Wedding

Leah and Aaron's wedding was my very first wedding to second shoot and that was all it took for me to fall in love with second shooting!! I assisted Heather (Reflections of....Photography) with this wedding back in May of 2007. Three years later, I still remember how beautiful everything was! Leah was a gorgeous bride and her dress was stunning! They had an amazing wedding/reception at Carraway Davie House and it was a blast!

Flamingos don't like construction

My girls and I went to the zoo this week and met up with some friends there. When we came up to the flamingos, they were MAD as hornets! Most of them had their heads up in the air, necks straight up and they were making this horrible squawking noise. My favorite part about their agitated state was their ruffled feathers! Even though they were angry, they were beautiful!

The zoo is doing some construction and I'm thinking the flamingos are not at all happy about it!

This guy was right up on the fence. I could have easily pet him if I didn't mind losing a finger in the process. (See the ones behind him with their heads straight up in the air?)

I'm in love with these feathers! I'm so glad I was able to get a quick shot!

I can just imagine these two complaining about all the noise...that or

No, I didn't shoot my wedding...but I did shoot these pictures this past week!

Our wedding was almost 5 years ago and I've just now started designing our album. (Sad, huh?) Anyway...looking at all our pictures made me want to play around with my camera and recreate some shots. ::Sigh:: I love wedding stuff :o)

Lauren's Wedding

I got to second shoot this wedding with my friend Heather, of "Reflections Of..." Photography, back in summer of '07. I had a BLAST at this wedding! The bridal party and their friends & family were so much fun to be around! I can't wait to post more about it but I'm just going to post a couple of pictures for now and I'll add on more later :o)
